4. Supporting the People Who Support Students

Teachers, educational assistants, administrators and other school staff are among our greatest resources. They need the training, tools and support to meet increasingly complex student needs. Supporting staff is one of the most important ways we support students.

Public education depends on responsible decisions about limited resources. I will consider the impact on students, weigh evidence and priorities carefully, and support responsible use of public funds — with students and the quality of public education at the centre of every decision.
