ABOUT PAM

My life’s work has been about

students, inclusion and

opportunity. I’m an Ontario certified teacher and spent 11 years as an administrator of a school for students with very complex needs.

Throughout my career, I have advocated for students and programs that can too easily be overlooked. I believe strongly in public education and in the role our schools play in building strong, inclusive communities.

If elected, I will bring that experience to the trustee role as a thoughtful listener, a determined advocate and a responsible steward of public education.

A Career of Leadership and Advocacy

Champion for Students with Complex Needs

11 years as administrator of a school in Ontario for students ages 14–21 with developmental disabilities and significant physical and behavioural needs.

I led the creation of an integrated “school within a school” model in a secondary school — designed for inclusion, dignity and belonging.

Believer in Every Student’s Potential

As a classroom teacher and gifted education teacher, I saw how the right supports and challenges help students thrive. All students benefit when we expect more and believe in them.

Building Inclusive Communities

I taught across Caledon, Brampton, Bramalea and Malton, and administered an International Languages school with 700 students (K–12) speaking six languages.

I know our diversity is our strength when we celebrate it together.

Provincial Leadership and System Impact

With the Ontario Ministry of Education and the Ontario College of Teachers, I facilitated initiatives in leadership development, teacher and principal appraisal and mentoring for new principals and VPs across public and Catholic boards.

I helped shape qualifications that strengthen teaching and learning.

Mentoring

For more than 10 years, I have mentored graduate students completing their Master’s degrees in Education at OISE, University of Toronto.

Working with educators as they develop their ideas, research and leadership skills is an opportunity to share experience while continuing to learn from the next generation of educational leaders.
